Search Warrant Served in Ashland Child Exploitation Investigation

State and local task force seizes digital evidence in ongoing child sexual abuse material case

ASHLAND, Ore. — Investigators with the Oregon Department of Justice Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, alongside the Southern Oregon Child Exploitation Team (SOCET), served a search warrant Wednesday morning as part of an ongoing child exploitation investigation in Ashland.

According to officials, the warrant was executed at a residence on Neil Creek Road after investigators identified images of child sexual abuse material linked to the location.

The investigation began after a tip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which led to further subpoenas and ultimately the search warrant.

During the operation, investigators seized digital devices that will be forensically examined by Department of Justice specialists for potential evidence of child exploitation.

Multiple agencies assisted in the operation, including the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Medford Police Department, and additional units within the Department of Justice.

SOCET, a multi-agency task force established in 2020, works to investigate and prosecute child exploitation cases across Southern Oregon. The team includes investigators from local, state, and federal agencies, as well as prosecutors from partnering jurisdictions.

Officials say the investigation remains active, with detectives continuing to review seized evidence and conduct interviews. No additional details have been released at this time.
