Oregon Tech Announces Freshman Recruiting Class
Oregon Tech softball coach Greg Stewart announced seven incoming freshmen have signed Cascade Conference Letters of Intent for the 2027 season. The class joins a Lady Owls program coming off a 43-10 season, a fifth straight CCC regular-season title and a 12th straight trip to the NAIA Championships.

PRCA Rodeo Returns to the Basin with Klamath River Roundup
Professional rodeo returns to the Klamath Basin this weekend with the first Klamath River Roundup, a three-day PRCA-sanctioned rodeo at the John Hancock Arena at the Klamath County Fairgrounds. The nonprofit event supports fairgrounds repairs, maintenance and improvements while bringing rodeo competition back to Klamath Falls.
Rogues Paint the Park Pink Saturday
The Medford Rogues will trade their regular uniforms for pink jerseys Saturday night as Paint the Park Pink returns to Harry & David Field. The annual event, held with Providence Medford, raises awareness and funds for breast cancer programs and services through the Providence Leila J. Eisenstein Breast Center.
Klamath County Sports Officials Award Record $5,500 in Scholarships to Local Student-Athletes
The Klamath County Sports Officials Scholarship Committee has awarded a record $5,500 to nine local high school student-athletes from Bonanza, Lost River, Mazama, Crosspoint, Henley and Lakeview. Since 2011, the program has awarded 124 scholarships totaling $43,650.

The Medford Rogues swept the Redmond Dudes in a three-game weekend series at Harry & David Field, winning 12-2, 4-1 and 7-3. Medford outscored Redmond 23-6 behind strong pitching, aggressive baserunning and key performances from Beau Blake, Daniel Behrmann and Anthony Thomas Jr.

Southern Oregon University softball wrapped up a standout 2026 season with a No. 5 national ranking, multiple All-America honors, two NAIA Rawlings Gold Gloves, an All-World Series selection and recognition for its sports information team.

The Medford Rogues opened their weekend at Harry & David Field with a split against the Seattle Cheney Studs, dropping the first game 3-2 before answering with a 4-2 win in the nightcap. Henley Softball Keeps Building on Tradition
Henley softball’s 2026 season has added another chapter to one of the Klamath Basin’s strongest high school sports traditions. The Hornets went unbeaten in Skyline Conference play, won their 15th straight conference title and advanced in the 4A state playoffs with a first-round win over Pendleton.
Raiders, Owls Earn NFCA Regional Honors
Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon University both landed multiple NFCA regional softball honors following the 2026 season. Four Owls earned All-Region IV recognition, while SOU’s coaching staff was named Region III Staff of the Year and four Raiders were named all-region.
Raiders’ Title Defense Ends
Southern Oregon’s national title defense came to an end Monday at the NAIA Softball World Series in Columbus, Georgia. The No. 3-seeded Raiders lost 5-2 to Southeastern and 3-1 to Indiana Wesleyan, ending a 45-15 season and a 16-game winning streak.
