The Fireworks Night crowd of 1,421 was the largest attendance of the weekend.

Pitching Carries Medford on First Responders Night

The Rogues did not produce the same offensive fireworks Saturday, but they did not need them.

Medford scored in the first inning after Chris Ortiz tripled and later crossed the plate on an error. Daniel Behrmann brought Ortiz home again with a sacrifice fly in the third.

The Rogues added two runs during the fifth inning on RBI singles from Blake and Diego Gabriel, giving the pitching staff a four-run cushion.

Redmond scored its only run in the eighth inning. Caleb Randolph worked a scoreless ninth, striking out two and recording his second save.

Ortiz’s triple was one of only four Medford hits, but the Rogues drew six walks and made their opportunities count.

The game drew an announced crowd of 956.
