Rogues Sweep A’s, Ride 11-Game Win Streak
The Rogues completed a three-game weekend sweep at home and continue to roll through the early nonleague schedule.
MEDFORD, Ore. — The Medford Rogues kept their early-season surge going over the weekend, sweeping the Fresno A’s in a three-game series at Harry & David Field and improving to 11-1 overall.
The sweep continued a dominant start for Medford, which has now won 11 straight games after dropping its season opener. The Rogues have handled the early nonleague portion of their schedule with one of the strongest overall records in the Pacific Empire League, setting up an important stretch this week as conference play comes into focus.
Rogues Open Series With 6-3 Win Friday
Medford started the weekend with a 6-3 win on Friday, using an early offensive push and late insurance to hold off Fresno.
The Rogues built a 4-1 lead by the fourth inning before Fresno tightened the game with a two-run homer in the seventh. Medford answered in the eighth, adding two more runs to close the door.
Jonathan Walsh, Jaden Neugebaur, Jackson Rosenthal and Beau Blake were all part of the scoring effort for Medford, while the Rogues’ pitching staff limited the A’s enough to keep the lead intact.
Friday’s win set the tone for the weekend: Medford did not need one massive inning to control the game. The Rogues built pressure, forced mistakes, added runs when needed and protected the lead.

Pitching Leads the Way in 3-1 Saturday Win
Saturday’s game had a different feel, with Medford earning a 3-1 win behind strong pitching and just enough offense.
The Rogues collected 12 hits, but Fresno kept the game close throughout. Medford scored once in the first, once in the second and added an insurance run in the eighth.
Herman Luna gave Medford a strong start, allowing one run over six innings while striking out six. Tristin Ainsworth and Caleb Malloy followed out of the bullpen, helping the Rogues finish off the low-scoring win.
It was not the flashiest offensive night of the series, but it showed another part of Medford’s early identity: the Rogues can win when the bats explode, and they can win when the pitching staff has to carry the night.

Medford Finishes Sweep With 12-6 Sunday Win
The Rogues finished the series Sunday with their loudest offensive performance of the weekend, beating Fresno 12-6.
Medford piled up 15 hits and answered every Fresno push. After falling behind early, the Rogues moved in front behind a big swing from Larsen Koester, who homered in the third inning to give Medford the lead. The A’s continued to battle, cutting the margin to one run in the seventh, but Medford responded again.
The Rogues scored late and pulled away, turning a tight game into a six-run win. Evan Saito helped put the game away with a two-run single in the eighth, part of a final push that gave Medford its 11th win of the season.
Across the three-game sweep, Medford scored 21 runs on 37 hits.
What Comes Next
Medford’s schedule continues this week with two games against the California Tigers on June 17 and June 18.
The Rogues are then scheduled to face the Solano Mudcats in a three-game set from June 19 through June 21. That series carries extra weight because Solano is a Pacific Empire League opponent and entered the week 6-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
For Medford, the story is simple: the Rogues have done almost everything right through the first 12 games of the season, but the league race is still just beginning.
At 11-1 overall and 0-0 in conference play, Medford has built the record. This week, the Rogues get a chance to start building the standings.
