A vehicle pursuit early Tuesday morning in Josephine County ended in Grants Pass after deputies deployed spike strips multiple times and the suspect fled on foot. Authorities say the driver continued on three tires before stopping and being taken into custody.

A suspect has been arrested following a fatal shooting in Grants Pass on Wednesday evening that left one person dead and another injured. Officers responded to the 800 block of NE E Street, where two victims were found with gunshot wounds. An 18-year-old male later died at the hospital, while a second victim survived. Authorities located the suspect hours later in a Jackson County hotel room and took him into custody without incident.

Grants Pass police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 32-year-old man who has been missing since March 10. Authorities say he may still be in Southern Oregon and could be driving a dark-colored Infiniti coupe.

A 51-year-old man has been arrested following a March 4 incident in Grants Pass where police say an elderly resident was held hostage inside a home on Leonard Road. Officers forced entry after hearing gunshots and safely removed the hostage before taking the suspect into custody after his release from the hospital.

A burglary suspect was arrested early Tuesday after Grants Pass Police used a K9 team to secure the scene at New Song Church.

A 42-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday night following a stabbing incident at a residence in Grants Pass. Police say the victim suffered serious injuries but is expected to recover.
