Investigation led by DEA Task Force Officer involved multiple local, state, and federal agencies

GRANTS PASS — The Grants Pass Police Department announced the seizure of approximately 40 pounds of methamphetamine following a drug investigation conducted in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration.

According to police, the seizure occurred Saturday as part of an investigation led by a Grants Pass Police detective assigned as a DEA Task Force Officer. The detective works out of the local DEA office and focuses on investigations involving major drug suppliers and high-level drug activity impacting Grants Pass and Southern Oregon.

The operation involved assistance from the Grants Pass Police SWAT Quick Response Team, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Rogue Area Drug Enforcement team, the Oregon State Police, and other members of the DEA Task Force.

Police say the detective has successfully led numerous major interdictions as part of the ongoing partnership between the Grants Pass Police Department and the DEA, aimed at countering drug-related activity in the region.

The Grants Pass Police Department encourages anyone with information related to drug activity to contact its tip line at 541-237-5607.
