Former Builders Association CEO Arrested

Medford Police lodge Bradley Bennington in jail following embezzlement investigation tied to $100,000 in alleged losses

The Medford Police Department has arrested a former nonprofit executive following an investigation into alleged employee theft reported late last year.

In October 2025, the Builders Association of Southern Oregon (BASO) contacted Medford police regarding concerns that its former CEO, Bradley Bennington, may have embezzled funds from the organization over a period of years.

According to police, BASO representatives provided detectives with the findings of a financial forensic audit conducted on behalf of the organization. Detectives reviewed the audit and launched an independent investigation, which included issuing numerous subpoenas to multiple banking institutions.

Investigators ultimately determined that approximately $100,000 had been embezzled. Based on the evidence gathered, detectives concluded that criminal activity had occurred and briefed the case with the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office.

On Thursday, February 26, 2026, Medford Police detectives contacted Bennington and lodged him at the Jackson County Jail on the following charges:

  • Aggravated Theft I (5 counts)

  • Theft I (2 counts)

  • Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card – Felony (3 counts)

  • Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card – Misdemeanor (4 counts)

The investigation remains a matter of public record through the Medford Police Department and the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office.
