Four individuals with outstanding warrants were arrested Thursday afternoon following a law enforcement operation at a residence in the 4500 block of Wolf Run in Medford, according to the Medford Police Department.

Police said officers were dispatched at approximately 4:18 p.m. after a neighbor reported suspicious activity at the home. The reporting party told officers that a woman entering the residence had advised them to call police if the situation escalated. The neighbor also reported seeing the individual in possession of a firearm.

Officers attempted to make contact with occupants inside the residence but were unsuccessful. Based on information available at the time, police confirmed the individual was a wanted subject, a convicted felon, and believed to be armed with a shotgun. The residence was also known to law enforcement due to prior calls for service and reports of suspicious activity.

Given those factors, officers implemented a multi-layered response focused on public and officer safety. A perimeter was established, and a SWAT team was activated to safely manage the situation while allowing patrol officers to continue responding to calls elsewhere in the city.

During the operation, police utilized several specialized resources, including aerial surveillance drones, a K9 unit, and the department’s Crisis Negotiation Team, which was prepared to engage if communication could be established. Officers also conducted a low-grade explosive breach at the front door to safely gain entry into the residence. Police noted that while the method is loud, it is designed to reduce prolonged risk to officers and nearby residents.

Two adult women exited the residence during the incident and were taken into custody without incident. A search warrant was later obtained, and officers cleared the residence to ensure no additional individuals were inside.

In total, four individuals with outstanding warrants were arrested:

  • Amanda Torres – Medford Police Department warrants for Failure to Appear related to Theft II, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, and Theft I

  • Raylene Pineda – Jackson County Sheriff’s Office warrants for Failure to Appear related to DUII, Reckless Driving (two counts), and Criminal Mischief

  • Mario Alcauter-Willa – Arrested on a detainer

  • Rebecca Baza – Jackson County Sheriff’s Office warrants for Failure to Appear related to Theft I and Identity Theft (two counts)

Police said the scene was safely cleared and there is no ongoing threat to the public. Nearby residents were thanked for their cooperation and patience during the response.

No further updates are anticipated at this time.
