DUII Arrest After Multi-Vehicle Crash on Crater Lake Highway

Police say intoxication contributed to injuries in Medford-area collision

MEDFORD, Ore. — A driver was arrested Monday evening following a multi-vehicle crash on Crater Lake Highway that caused delays and prompted a traffic investigation, according to authorities.

Emergency crews responded to the collision in the eastbound lanes of Oregon Highway 62 between Whittle Avenue and Delta Waters Road. The crash caused congestion in the area while investigators worked at the scene.

Officials said the Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction (STAR) team responded to conduct an investigation.

In an update issued around 6:30 p.m., authorities reported the crash had been cleared and the roadway reopened.

Following the investigation, police arrested 32-year-old Alexander Morales-Goff. He faces charges of DUII-drugs, Assault IV, Assault III, Reckless Driving, and Reckless Endangering.

Investigators said intoxication was determined to be a contributing factor in the crash and injuries to other drivers.

Authorities thanked the public for their patience during the response and investigation.
