Two Killed in Highway 62 Motorcycle Crash
Two Central Point residents were killed Monday night in a crash involving a pickup and motorcycle on Highway 62 in Jackson County, according to Oregon State Police. OSP says impairment is considered a primary cause of the crash, and a Medford driver was arrested on DUII, reckless driving, and manslaughter charges.
OR 62 Bridge Work Begins At Lost Creek Lake
Bridge repair work is beginning on Oregon 62 at the Lost Creek Lake/Peyton Bridge north of Shady Cove. ODOT says drivers should expect a single-lane work zone, reduced speeds, automated traffic control and short delays through fall 2026 as crews repair the bridge deck, joints, pavement and guardrails.
DUII Arrest After Multi-Vehicle Crash on Crater Lake Highway
A driver was arrested following a multi-vehicle crash on Crater Lake Highway in the Medford area that caused congestion and prompted a reconstruction investigation. Police said intoxication contributed to the collision, which resulted in injuries to other drivers. The roadway has since reopened.
