KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Benefit for the Basin returns Saturday, May 30, bringing a full day of cars, vendors, family activities and community giving to the Klamath County Fairgrounds.
The annual Benefit for the Basin Charity Dinner and Car Show begins at 9 a.m. Organizers are inviting the community to come out for what they describe as “an incredible day of fun, connection, and giving back.”
The event is built around a simple local mission: raising funds that go back into the Klamath Basin.
“The focus of the Benefit for the Basin is improving our community by supporting youth, education, community, and the Klamath County Fairgrounds,” the organization states on its website. “We understand this is a big task, we take it seriously, and although this may be a drop in the bucket, we feel every drop counts.”
According to Benefit for the Basin, 100% of event proceeds are used to support youth, education, community efforts and the Klamath County Fairgrounds.
Saturday’s event will include a car show, local vendors, kids’ activities and dinner. Organizers described the gathering as “more than an event,” calling it “neighbors supporting neighbors.”
Benefit for the Basin has grown significantly since its first event in 2013, when organizers raised $8,600. Since then, the fundraiser has generated more than $1 million through sponsorships, gifts, dinner, auctions and the car show, with funds distributed to organizations and programs throughout the Klamath Basin.
The 2025 Benefit for the Basin raised $242,000, awarded 37 scholarships, supported 33 local organizations and youth programs, and helped complete the “Fly the Flag” campaign at the Klamath County Fairgrounds.
Organizers say the event continues to be powered by local support, volunteers, sponsors and families who show up each year to help strengthen the community.
“Bring your friends, bring your family, and come be part of something special right here in the Basin,” organizers said. “Let’s make this Saturday one to remember!”
Benefit for the Basin begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 30, at the Klamath County Fairgrounds in Klamath Falls.
