Motorcyclist Injured in Lake County Crash

LAKE COUNTY, Ore. – A 75-year-old man was injured Tuesday afternoon in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Old Millican Road, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded at approximately 2:25 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, to a crash reported on Old Millican Road, about two miles from the Deschutes County line.

When deputies arrived, they found that a 75-year-old man had been operating a motorcycle and crashed under circumstances that remain under investigation. The rider sustained injuries and received medical care at the scene.

North Lake Emergency Medical Services responded and provided care. Deputies assisted EMS personnel with packaging and loading the patient into an ambulance.

 
 

Due to the nature of the rider’s injuries, air medical transport was requested. Deputies established a landing zone ahead of the ambulance, and the patient was transferred to Life Flight Network for transport to a higher level of care.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office thanked North Lake EMS and Life Flight Network for their cooperation and assistance during the incident.
