Lake of the Woods Fireworks Planned

The July 4 show is tentatively scheduled for 10 p.m., but remains dependent on fire conditions, weather and Forest Service guidance.

LAKE OF THE WOODS, Ore. — Fireworks are tentatively set to return to Lake of the Woods for the Fourth of July in 2026, offering the possibility of a holiday show over one of Southern Oregon’s most scenic mountain lakes.

Lake of the Woods Resort announced that the Lake of the Woods Homeowners Association has officially signed a contract with a vendor to put on a fireworks show celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States.

The show is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 10 p.m.

While the resort said it is not directly hosting the fireworks event, it is working closely with the homeowners association and plans to continue sharing updates as more information becomes available.

The fireworks show remains highly dependent on fire conditions, weather and guidance from the Forest Service. Resort officials said safety will remain the top priority, and plans may change or be canceled if conditions are not safe for the show.

The Lake of the Woods fireworks display has been canceled in some past years due to funding or fire concerns, but when conditions allow, the show is known for its dramatic reflections across the lake and mountain setting.

At this time, organizers say plans are moving forward, though additional fundraising efforts may still be needed.

The resort said it will continue staying in communication with the homeowners association and Forest Service and will share updates as the holiday approaches.
