KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — The chrome is polished, the engines are ready and downtown Klamath Falls is once again preparing for one of its favorite summer traditions.
Kruise of Klamath returns June 25–28, bringing four days of classic cars, music, food and community events to locations across Klamath Falls. The annual event celebrates hot rods, cruisers, customs and restored classics, with a weekend built around the cars and the people who keep them rolling.
“Life is Better in a Classic” sets the tone for the weekend: part car show, part reunion and part throwback to the days when cruising the downtown strip was an event all its own.

This year’s Kruise includes mini shows for registered vehicles, public gatherings, Saturday’s downtown Show ’N Shine, the evening cruise through historic downtown and a Sunday poker run to close out the weekend.
Kruise weekend is built as much around the atmosphere as the cars themselves. Downtown sidewalks fill with people stopping to study paint, chrome, interiors and engine bays, while owners often share the stories behind the vehicles they have restored, preserved or driven for years.

The event also gives visitors several ways to take in the weekend, from casual mini shows and Friday’s kickoff gathering at Moore Park to Saturday’s full downtown Show ’N Shine and evening cruise.
Some events are designed for registered vehicles, but many of the biggest moments are open to anyone who wants to walk downtown, watch the cars roll by or spend part of the weekend surrounded by classic automotive culture.
Thursday opens with registration and goody bag pickup at the Klamath Basin Senior Center, along with a series of mini shows for registered cars. The day also includes the Hot Rod Hop at the Senior Center from 3 to 7 p.m., featuring music, concessions and a dance competition.
Friday continues with more mini shows around town, followed by registration and goody bag pickup at Klamath Commons from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The public kickoff party runs from 4 to 8 p.m. at Moore Park, giving participants and spectators a chance to gather by the lake before the busiest day of the weekend.
Saturday is the centerpiece of Kruise weekend.
Saturday’s Show ’N Shine is set for downtown Main Street between 3rd and 11th streets. Registered cars will begin parking at 7 a.m., with all vehicles required to be in place by 9 a.m., when the show opens to the public. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 3 p.m., and the show continues until 6 p.m.
After the Show ’N Shine, the cars return to motion for the closed cruise through historic downtown Klamath Falls from 6 to 8:30 p.m. For spectators, it is one of the most visible and nostalgic parts of the weekend: classic cars rolling through downtown, echoing the cruising culture that helped make events like this a fixture in communities across the West.

Sunday wraps up with breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m., followed by a poker run from 10 a.m. to noon. The poker run takes participants on a route through Klamath Falls before cash prizes are awarded for the top hands.
What to know before you go: Saturday’s Show ’N Shine opens to the public at 9 a.m. on Main Street between 3rd and 11th streets. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 3 p.m., and the downtown cruise follows from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Spectators can watch the Show ’N Shine and evening cruise for free, while some meals and activities require tickets or registration.
While some activities are limited to registered vehicles, many Kruise events are open to the public. Vehicles participating in the downtown cruise must be older than 1979 and registered before the close of registration.
Kruise of Klamath has grown into a long-running Klamath Falls tradition. The event’s historical winners archive includes Best of Show and Board’s Choice honorees going back to 2006, with past winners coming from Oregon, California, Nevada, Washington and beyond.
For Klamath Falls, the weekend is more than a car show. It is a late-June gathering that fills downtown with polished paint, old stories, familiar faces and the unmistakable sound of classic engines.
