A 16-year-old male was seriously injured in an early morning shooting Sunday near Crater Lake Avenue and Stevens Street in Medford. Police say the victim was struck in the neck when a handgun discharged during an argument with a suspect they did not know. Officers located and arrested a 21-year-old suspect nearby, and the victim is expected to recover.

Medford Police responded to two major incidents over the weekend — a shooting at OK Market that led to two arrests, and a serious single-vehicle crash Friday night where investigators say reckless driving, not a reported menacing, caused the collision.
