KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — The Ross Ragland Theater has released a busy May calendar featuring five separate events ranging from live music and ballet to children’s entertainment and a summer camp fundraiser.

The month begins on Sunday, May 3 at 2:00 p.m. with the Klamath Chorale: 250! Happy Birthday America! concert, a nonpolitical celebration of America’s upcoming 250th birthday featuring patriotic music, Broadway favorites, folk, gospel, jazz, country, and rock selections. The volunteer choral group has performed in the basin for more than four decades.

Next up is the Be Like Blippi Tour on Wednesday, May 6 at 7:00 p.m., bringing the popular children’s character to the Ragland stage. Organizers say the interactive family show will include music, dancing, and fan-favorite songs such as “The Excavator Song,” “Monster Truck,” and “Dino Dance.”

On Saturday, May 9 at 7:00 p.m., the Klamath Symphony Spring Concert returns with a performance honoring the orchestra’s history and past conductors. Guest appearances by former conductors Steve Mitchell and Dan Conrad are planned, along with a collaboration featuring Henley High School’s Touch of Class Chamber Singers.

Mid-month, the theater will welcome the Oregon Ballet Theatre for two performances on Saturday, May 16 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 17 at 2:00 p.m. Organizers say the company is Oregon’s largest professional ballet organization and is known for both classical and contemporary productions.

The theater is also promoting its Summer Camps Fundraiser, now live on the Givebutter platform with a goal of $45,000. Funds will support youth theater camps offering acting, music, movement, stagecraft, costumes, props, lunches, and scholarships for local children.

Tickets and additional information for all performances are available through the theater box office.
