NorCal Firefighters Extinguish House Fire in Castella

Multiple agencies assisted in containing a Monday afternoon structure fire; no injuries reported as investigators work to determine the cause.

Fire crews in Shasta County responded Monday afternoon to a structure fire on Castella Loop, where multiple agencies worked together to bring the blaze under control. The Castella Fire Protection District led the response with support from the Dunsmuir Fire Department.

According to officials, no injuries were reported. Firefighters prevented further spread, and the structure was extinguished after an extended response effort.

Additional support came from the Mount Shasta Fire Department, CAL FIRE Siskiyou Unit, and the City of Weed Fire Department, all of which assisted with suppression, personnel, and resources.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Residents were asked to avoid the area during the incident to allow crews safe access to the scene.
