Medford Court Waives Wedding Fees for June

Couples can schedule civil wedding ceremonies at City Hall by appointment, but must obtain an Oregon marriage license first.

MEDFORD, Ore. – Couples looking to get married in June may be able to do so at Medford City Hall without paying the city’s civil ceremony fee.

The Medford Municipal Court announced it will waive all civil wedding ceremony fees during the month of June in celebration of Wedding Month.

June has long been associated with weddings and marriage traditions. City officials also noted the month’s significance within the legal community because of landmark court decisions recognizing marriage rights and equality.

The service marks a renewed role for the Medford Municipal Court. In December 2025, Municipal Court Judge Virginia Greer performed the court’s first wedding ceremony in several decades, restoring a service that had long been absent from court operations.

Ceremonies will be conducted by appointment at City Hall. Couples must first obtain a valid Oregon marriage license through the appropriate county office before the ceremony can take place.

Appointments are limited and will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.

For more information or to schedule a ceremony, contact the Medford Municipal Court at 541-774-2040 or court@cityofmedford.org. Appointment requests may also be made through the City of Medford website.
