Klamath Falls Home Damaged in Auburn Street Fire

Fire crews reported heavy fire at the rear of a two-story residence

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Klamath County Fire District 1 responded Wednesday to a residential structure fire in the 1900 block of Auburn Street in Klamath Falls after receiving multiple reports of a fire at a two-story home.

According to the district, the first unit arrived about four minutes after dispatch and found a two-story single-family residence with heavy fire involvement at the rear of the structure. The fire had extended into the second-floor living space.

Fire crews began an aggressive interior attack while searching for possible victims and working to bring the fire under control.

 
 

Klamath County Fire District 1 responded with 19 personnel, including four engines, one ambulance, and two command staff members. A deputy fire marshal from the Oregon State Fire Marshal’s Office also responded to assist with determining the origin and cause of the fire.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Klamath County Fire District 1 also reminded residents to make sure smoke detectors are installed, working properly, and tested regularly.
