Siskiyou Sheriff Seeks Help Identifying Woman Found Near Hawkinsville

The woman was found June 8 on Klamath National Forest property, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

SISKIYOU COUNTY, Calif. — The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying a woman whose body was found earlier this month near Hawkinsville.

The Sheriff’s Office said the woman’s body was discovered by a passerby on June 8 at about 11:45 a.m. on Klamath National Forest property.

According to the agency, the body was found a short distance off Hawkinsville View Road, above Hawkinsville. Sheriff’s officials said the area is generally accessible by Hawkinsville Humbug Road.

 
 

The woman is described as a white female adult, approximately 45 to 55 years old, 5 feet 4 inches tall and 130 pounds. The Sheriff’s Office said she had dyed red hair and no visible tattoos.

The agency has not released the woman’s identity or additional information about the circumstances of her death.

Anyone with information about the woman’s identity or the circumstances surrounding the case is asked to contact Agent Smith or Detective Gulick with the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office at 530-841-2900.
