Oregon Tech has approved the next steps toward launching a Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence, a new applied degree program designed to meet workforce demand and industry needs across Oregon and beyond.

Oregon Tech has received a $500,000 gift from the Beavers Charitable Trust to support workforce development within the university’s new Construction Management program. The funding will provide scholarships and expand the program’s Heavy Construction Management option.

Oregon Tech is celebrating enrollment gains for the second year in a row, including its largest freshman class in more than 40 years. Total enrollment reached 5,444 students this fall, driven by growth in online programs, the Klamath Falls campus, and expanded dual credit opportunities for high school students.

Oregon Tech has partnered with Google Public Sector to bring advanced AI and high-performance computing directly into campus research and operations. The collaboration expands computing capacity, accelerates innovative projects, and equips faculty with new tools to streamline work and unlock future research opportunities.

The Oregon Tech Foundation has awarded more than $1.1 million in scholarships for the 2025–26 academic year, marking the fourth straight year of million-dollar support for students. The awards recognize academic achievement, financial need, and donor commitment to Oregon Tech’s mission.
