A Medford man has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison in a federal child exploitation case involving a minor victim in his care. Prosecutors said investigators found more than 300 videos and nearly 8,000 images of child sexual abuse material on his devices.

Federal prosecutors say the owner of a Klamath Falls clinical laboratory submitted more than $46 million in fraudulent Medicare Advantage claims for testing services that were never performed. Investigators allege the scheme resulted in more than $28 million in payouts before the suspect was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport.

A joint investigation by the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI has led to the seizure of roughly 14 pounds of illegal drugs, two firearms, and thousands of dollars in cash. Authorities served three simultaneous search warrants in Oregon and Washington as part of an ongoing effort to disrupt a suspected drug trafficking network.
