Medford Police Chief Justin Ivens has announced his retirement after more than three decades in law enforcement, with plans to remain in the position through June 30, 2026, to support a smooth transition.

Mayor Michael Zarosinski has appointed longtime public service leader John Vial as Interim City Manager, bringing decades of experience to guide Medford through its transition.
